Privacy
Family Hub is a private household organiser. This page says plainly what it stores and what it does not.
What is stored
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- The name you give your household.
- The names, pictures and colours you choose for the people in your household. These are whatever you type. They do not have to be real names.
- Events, jobs, points and rewards that you add.
- Events read from any calendar you choose to connect, so they can be shown alongside the rest.
Who can see it
Only the people in your own household. Households cannot see each other. That separation is enforced by the database itself, not just by the app, so it holds even if something in the app goes wrong.
The information is held by Supabase, which runs the database, and the app runs on Vercel. Both are ordinary hosting companies and their staff have the same kind of access any hosting company has. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising.
Connected calendars
If you connect a Google Calendar, Family Hub asks only for permission to read it. It cannot create, change or delete anything in your calendar, and it never writes back.
It reads events from roughly a month back to about six months ahead, and shows them in your household. Nothing from your calendar is sent anywhere else.
You can disconnect at any time from the Connected calendars screen, which deletes the connection and every event it brought in. You can also withdraw access from your Google account settings, which stops it immediately.
Children
Children do not have accounts and do not sign in. They appear only as a name and a picture chosen by an adult in the household.
Deleting your information
Ask and your account and household will be deleted in full, including every event, job, reward and calendar connection. Nothing is kept.
Contact
Family Hub is run privately by the person who invited you. Contact them directly with any question about your information, or to have it deleted.
